SHIFT POSITIVE® 360: 
​35% of the time feedback interventions lead to poorer performance, often due to compromised intentions and a lack of context.  Shift Positive® method is an effective way of gathering and giving feedback that's grounded in positive psychology, solution-focused coaching and engaging the leader's "people system" as allies who actively and openly support the leader's development throughout the change process.  

This method is transparent and provides a path forward of what to do instead. It's is not just about the individual leader receiving the feedback. It is about creating an environment that is conducive to the leader's progress and engagement; creating fertile soil for growth. It is about creating deeper, lasting change, faster, with more dialogue, disclosure, and depth of thought by all participants—all allies in each other's success.


Shift Positive approach uses: 
-Appreciative questions to understand the leaders strengths and what is already working
-Solution-focused questions to identify specific desired behaviors
-Systems thinking to garner allies from the leader's "people system"
-Social network analysis to gain insight into energy raising behaviors and energy drains


Overview of Shift + Feedback Experience: 
 1. Conduct interviews: 
We work with each leader to identify who is best to include in their Shift Positive 360 and then interview each one using our proprietary approach.
 2. Shift Positive 360 report: Full 360 report is exclusively viewed by the leader and coach. concentrating on what's working and what could work even better to empower each leader and their allies to succeed collectively.
 3. Co-created development Plan: Working closely with their coach, leaders craft a comprehensive development plan with 2-3 specific behavioral goals, coaching, and the support of the allies in their development.
 4. Executive Coaching: Coaching supports goal attainment and behavior changes. 
 5. Shift Progress Survey: Measures behavior changes and showing the ROI of this approach.

SP360AI: 
SP360AI is a self-administered version of the renowned Shift Positive 360, fully supported by an AI platform that has been meticulously developed with the Shift Positive philosophy at its core. This cutting-edge AI assistant, trained in the Shift Positive method, provides participants with personalized coaching and guidance on delivering constructive feedback. By providing a transparent, narrative report and AI-supported coaching for constructive feedback, SP360AI creates a safe and supportive environment for rising leaders to receive valuable insights and guidance. The program is seamlessly administered by a designated program manager, typically an HRBP or leadership development professional within the organization, who assigns uses and acts as a vital resource to developing leaders.

Shift Positive Manger Feedback Training

Managers and leaders are responsible for giving feedback each day. It is essential that they not just grasp this new mindset and approach, but actively learn how to use it through interactive application and practice, allowing them to model the method effectively with others. They too can benefit from receiving feedback in this new way so they can experience the transformation of the Shift Positive®method. With Shift Positive Applied, your managers will become true champions of positive leadership, equipped with the knowledge and skills to drive lasting change, and foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Overview of this Transformational experience: 
  • Session 1: A New Approach to Feedback: Understand why dialogue and feedback is difficult and how positive psychology and social support provides a way forward to stronger relationships, well-being and belonging. Understand how our negativity bias and positivity offset impact us. Utilize a practical tool (PIIP) for managing overwhelm and catastrophizing. Work from a growth mindset and understand the neuroscience of social threats and their antidotes.
  • Session 2: Strengths-Based Feedback: The importance of strengths-based recognition and conversations: knowing and highlighting strengths (conducting and share out of VIA strengths). Understanding the impact of strengths-based feedback on engagement. Also, utilizing one's strengths in areas of development.
  • Session 3: Solution-Focused Feedback: How to move from problem-focused to solution-focused conversations that focus on what to do, getting past inattentional blindness and negativity bias. Practicing dialogue using a solutions-based approach.
  • Session 4: Building from a Desired Future: Learn how to use appreciative inquiry to visualize a desired future and craft steps to bring it to fruition. Applying appreciative inquiry to current engagement challenges and skill development.
  • Session 5: Leveraging Social Support: Understanding human systems, team dynamics and social support. Committing to being allies in each other's well-being, growth and development. Leverage research into the power of social support to drive sustainable change. Practice Active Constructive Responding to capitalize on good news and successes.​
Each class will include time to share, to ask questions and connect. Additionally, attendees will apply concepts of constructive dialogue and feedback in large group and breakouts. Pre-session assignments and resources are provided to maximize learning, apply to real life situations, and improve overall impact of the sessions.
